How the KCC Fun Card works
A simple way to enjoy food and activities while keeping Event Day payments organised and accountable.
Digital card
Create your Fun Card
Enter the card holder's name for authorised Token Desk lookup. The name is stored securely and will not appear on the Fun Card. We will create a unique QR code and short fallback code, then prepare a downloadable image for your phone.
The QR code contains only a random card identifier. It does not contain your name, token balance, or payment information.

Final token bundles, food prices and game prices will be confirmed by the Operations and Treasury teams and published on the official event guide.

Three simple steps
1.Receive a card
Each attendee receives a reusable card with a unique QR code and short fallback code.
2.Load tokens
Top up online with PayFast or visit the Token Desk to use the approved in-person options.
3.Enjoy the day
Use the card at approved food and game stations. The operator scans the card and confirms the fixed token price.

Important safeguards
Server-side balance
Wallet credits and deductions are recorded centrally, with no negative balances.
Lost-card support
Report a lost card promptly so it can be frozen and replaced through the approved process.
Auction payments stay separate
Fun Card tokens are for food and games only. Auction winning bids use the official auction payment process.
Controlled outage fallback
If the system is unavailable, digital spending pauses and the event team uses a controlled numbered voucher procedure.
